DEPARTURE: 8TH DECEMBER 2026
PREVIEW THE ITINERARY
- Day 1: The VIP Welcome in Cairo. Your journey begins the moment you touch down in the bustling, beautiful chaos of Cairo. Instead of navigating public transport with heavy luggage, a VIP meet-and-greet service awaits you at the airport. From there, you will be whisked away to your accommodation to settle in and meet your new travel family. Tonight is all about first impressions. As you look out over the city skyline, you will realize that this Egypt group adventure 2026 is finally happening. Meanwhile, take a moment to breathe in the scent of jasmine and spice as you prepare for the busy week ahead. Cairo is the gateway to Africa, and the energy here is absolutely electric.
- Day 2: Secrets of the Giza Plateau. After a hearty breakfast, we head straight to the main event: the Pyramids of Giza. Standing at the base of the Great Pyramid, you might feel incredibly small. Interestingly, Pharaoh Khufu constructed this massive structure in 2550 BCE. While his son and grandson followed with their own pyramids, the shrinking heights of the later structures were not actually due to lower status. Instead, a shifting economy meant the government had fewer resources to spare. Next, we visit the Great Sphinx. This meticulous structure stands atop the Giza Plateau, facing the rising sun. Although rumor has it that Napoleon’s artillery destroyed the Sphinx’s nose, historians have proposed several other theories. Later, we explore the Saqqara pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. Finally, we wrap up the day at the Papyrus Institute to learn how ancient Egyptians created one of the world’s earliest writing materials.
- Day 3: The Magic of Luxor. Today, you will pack your bags for a quick flight south to Luxor. Often described as the world’s greatest open-air museum, Luxor is where the history truly comes alive. There, we will explore Luxor Temple and the massive Edfu Temple. Afterward, we descend into the Valley of the Kings, where the New Kingdom pharaohs were laid to rest in hidden, colorful tombs. Even though we see these sites in documentaries, nothing compares to the scale of the pillars in person. Furthermore, the vibrant blue and gold paints on the tomb walls look almost freshly applied. After a day of sensory overload, we fly back to Cairo to rest our feet. In this way, this Egypt group adventure 2026 lets you see the best of the south without the long, tiring bus rides.
- Day 4: Red Sea Relaxation at Ain Sukhna. By now, your brain might be full of hieroglyphics. Therefore, day 4 is all about Vitamin Sea. We leave the hustle and bustle of Cairo behind and head for the pristine shores of Ain Sukhna on the Red Sea Coast. The water here is crystal clear and teeming with life. In fact, 20% of the fish found in the Red Sea are not found anywhere else on earth. So, whether you choose to snorkel or simply lounge on the sand with a cold drink, this is the “getaway” part of your getaway. At the same time, it is the perfect chance to bond with your group and talk about the wonders you have already seen. For more coastal inspiration, check out our internal beach travel guide.
- Day 5: Desert Glamping and Bedouin Beats
Today, we trade the blue water for golden sands. Adventure awaits as we head deep into the desert for a traditional camping experience. This isn’t just “camping”—it is a full-blown desert glamping celebration.
As the sun sets over the dunes, we will enjoy a massive barbecue party. To make things even more magical, local Bedouin musicians will provide the soundtrack for the night. Sitting around a fire under a blanket of stars is a staple of any Egypt group adventure 2026. Without the city lights, the Milky Way appears so close you could almost touch it. It is an experience that humbles and inspires every traveler. - Day 6: Cairo Nightlife and Free Spirits
Waking up in the desert is an experience you won’t soon forget. After a slow morning, we head back to the city. Once we are settled back in Cairo, the afternoon is yours to explore.
You might choose to take a nap to recover from the desert party, or perhaps you want to dive into the local nightlife. Cairo truly never sleeps. From trendy rooftop bars to traditional coffee houses where people smoke shisha and play backgammon, the energy is infectious. If you are feeling adventurous, ask your guide for a recommendation for the best local “koshary” in town. This dish is a legendary Egyptian comfort food you must try. - Day 7: Markets, Oils, and Nile Dreams
Our final full day is a feast for the senses. We start by learning the ancient art of making essential oils. Egypt has been famous for its scents since the time of Cleopatra, and you will get to see why.
Next, we dive into the legendary Khan el Khalili market. This labyrinth of stalls sells everything from handmade jewelry to glowing lanterns. It is the perfect place to use your bargaining skills to find souvenirs. Finally, we celebrate our last night with a traditional dinner cruise on the Nile River. Watching the city lights reflect on the water while enjoying music and dance is the perfect finale to our Egypt group adventure 2026. - Day 8: Farewell to Africa
Today marks our parting day. It is incredible how quickly strangers can become a family. This journey may be ending, but the bonds forged in the desert and beside the pyramids will last a lifetime.
As you head to the airport, you will likely already be thinking about your next destination. Whether you want to explore the [suspicious link removed] or look into a [suspicious link removed], the continent has so much more to show you. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Kito Afrika family.
